Other hospitals from Minnesota that were included were: Mayo Clinic in Rochester ranked #1. CentraCare in St. Cloud ranked #45.The University of Minnesota Medical Center ranked #67. The magazine's "World's Best Hospitals" list for 2021 ranked the top hospitals around the world, including in the United States. It's the third year Newsweek has published the list, for which it partnered with the data firm Statista. In its methodology, Newsweek explained that it looked at three data sources to compile the rankings: recommendations from medical experts, results from patient surveys and medical KPIs on hospitals. Hospitals in the U.S. were also recognized for infection prevention if they performed above the national average based on data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Patch left a message with M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital asking for comment. See the full rankings and read more about the methodology via Newsweek.
