Youth Baseball & Softball Sports Officials (City of Puyallup) Need extra income? Want to be a part of our great Recreation team? Come be a part of the City of Puyallup’s great Recreation team! The City of Puyallup is hiring up to 3 Elementary Sports Officials and 4 Field Supervisors for Youth Baseball and Softball programs. Elementary Sports Officials officiate Parks and Recreation youth coach pitch games at the Puyallup Recreation Center and the Puyallup SD Fields. Employees are required to adhere to performance standards, dress code and punctual attendance. This position involves a great deal of contact with the public and therefore requires good attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. The positions are anticipated to start Monday, April 19, 2021, and employees will work 5-15 hours per week. The 2021 wage will be $13.69 per hour for Sports Officials & $14.80 - $16.75 per hour for Field Supervisors. Qualifications include: • A combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above. Prior officiating work experience is desirable. • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by time of application. • Successful candidates must comply with a background check required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act, RCW 43.43.830 through 43.43.840.
