Description

From the Birmingham Public Library: March 8, 2021 Today, Monday, March 8, is International Women's Day, held annually during March as part of Women's History Month. The theme in 2021 is to challenge the public to help forge a gender equal world. Here are ways you can celebrate the contributions of women worldwide on International Women's Day: Celebrate women's achievements, both big and small, well known and little known. Support women important in your daily lives - mothers, daughters, sisters, cousins, teachers, lawyers, and more. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality. Pledge to challenge women's stereotypes. Vow to forge positive visibility of women. Pledge to maintain a gender equal mindset. For more information on International Women's Day, click here.
