Description
The Virtual Friend program encourages virtual intergenerational connections by matching volunteers with seniors in all communities through meaningful phone and video call conversations. Volunteers are matched with a senior based on mutual interests. It is our goal that both volunteers and seniors will report that their lives are enriched by the friendship. You can share hobbies, travel and life experiences, and more. It’s up to you and your friend. Due to the pandemic, training for this program will be conducted via Zoom.

*******ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT THE RSVP PROGRAM*****
RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is the nation's largest network for volunteers age 55 and over. The growing segment of our older population is vital to strengthening our communities through their interest in helping others. As an RSVP volunteer, you are strengthening the positive impact people 55 and older have in our communities. Our focus is to incorporate meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide purpose and a way to give back to the community.
RSVP is sponsored by Lutheran Community Services Northwest, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the people it serves.
