Description
The Container Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring all current and newly-established container inventories are maintained at the proper levels and quality at all sites. This position staffs and manages a team which performs on- and off-site welding, fabrication and painting of company- and customer-owned assets.
High school diploma or its equivalent
At least five years of experience in shop management, or a similar corporate role
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
Experience with financial management, business budgeting, forecasting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and willingness to adapt to change
Experience conducting analyses
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel effectively
Strong planning and organization skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to work well with all levels of staff and in a collaborative environment
Ability to be effective in a privately-held company
Demonstrated sense of integrity and passion for the company’s mission and business model
Professional demeanor and appearance
Three to five years welding management with knowledge of compactor repair
Professional training in leadership and management of personnel and assets
ASE or professional certifications in welding and fabrication of metals
Valid Class C driver’s license
Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on a current motor vehicle report (MVR), with no serious accidents or traffic violations
