Position Summary: The primary purpose of the Floor Technician is to perform the day-to-day maintenance of all carpeted and hard flooring surfaces, including but not limited to marble, wood, laminate, etc., in the facility, performs preventative maintenance on special floor equipment. Responsibilities  Cleans and maintains floors and carpeted areas.  Identifies damaged areas in need of repairs and communicates the information to the appropriate personnel  Assists with cleaning tasks as assigned  Organizes supplies and equipment and receives parts and equipment from orders and assembling equipment as required  Conducts routine flooring and cleaning audits; maintains appropriate documentation for efforts and communicates findings and responses to management  Follows safety guidelines when carrying out cleaning tasks; places signs nearby to alert others that the floors may be wet or slippery  Updates cleaning schedules and ensures that all solvents and chemical cleaners are used according to safety regulations and guidelines  Uses appropriate customer and product specifications to assemble and fabricate parts and engines for cleaning equipment; notifies appropriate personnel of any faults that occur  Participates in staff and other meetings as appropriate  Continues development of personal and professional skills and establishes and participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of regulatory and other trends that may affect the business or direction of the company’s initiatives, policies and programs  Works closely with the senior management team, project managers, other key personnel and contacts for seamless integration of responsibilities and functions  Consistently meets and/or exceeds productivity goals; completes assignments in timely manner; meets competing deadlines; adheres to contractual requirements  All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  2+ years’ successful demonstrated/documented flooring care and cleaning experience  Strong time management, organization and communication skills; detail-oriented  Solid judgment, foresight, problem-solving, analytical and business acumen skills; strong attention to details  Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as a team member on a broad variety of projects  Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules as needed including overtime and weekends  Ability to speak, write, and follow instructions and read the English language  Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, patience, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people of varying social, cultural and economic backgrounds; creates and promotes a harmonious work environment  Ability to perform in a professional appearance and manner  Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  High School Diploma; related college coursework preferred  Valid Texas Driver’s License
