Construction company located in Corpus Christi, TX is looking for an experienced Asphalt Crew Leader for new and existing asphalt pavement and maintenance.
Job requirements include, but not limited to:
- Management of crew members for asphalt team, equipment and activities with an emphasis on quality, safety and positive client relations.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all daily activities of team in prime coat, spreading, rolling and compacting asphalt of streets, parking lots and driveways, as well as seal coating and striping.
- Set up trucks and material orders as necessary, with office personnel.
- Safely operate paver, roller, loader, etc. necessary for proper mat install.
- Management of material for required mix, thickness, compaction, and finish.
- Proficient communication with General Contractor/Owner, office team and other key personnel.
- Capable of reading and understanding construction plans.
- Track all time on projects and report team hours to office personnel.
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe and timely manner.
- Troubleshoot problems in the field as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in management role of asphalt pavement crew.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership, time management, and well-mannered for leading team and client relations.
- Extensive knowledge of paving methods, practices and procedures for road construction and pavement repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license.
Location and Time: Typical work hours at 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Most work to be in Corpus Christi region with occasional projects out of town.
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience.
