South Texas Oil Plus is a growing, owner operated, young company located in Aransas Pass. We are seeking a full time oil/lube tech; experience preferred but we will consider training the right, teachable person who is interested in a fast paced, customer service intensive operation with mechanical ability and some automotive knowledge. Even though our environment is fast paced and we work hard, we strive to create a place that our employees look forward to each day. The shop will be a hot environment in summer and cool in winter. You will get your hands dirty every day--some days more so than others. The ability to multi-task and focus are very important. If you enjoy helping people, are mechanically inclined, and are interested in growing your automotive skills, you will find significant opportunity. The maintenance tech is responsible for duties that include, but are not limited to: -- tasks related to a full service oil change, including diesel oil and fuel filter tasks. -- tasks related to tire maintenance (mostly rotation). -- other mechanical duties we find necessary to provide our customers with the best preventative vehicle maintenance care. -- shop tasks related to the operation of the facility. Requirements include, but are not limited to: - Must be at least 18 years old. - Must have valid driver's license with minimal moving violations; no exceptions... - Must have verifiable work history and references. - Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. - This is an entry level position with $9.00 -- 10.50/hr as starting wage plus bonus opportunities after 30 days. Total compensation increases as ability to contribute increases. - Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background review and comply with our strict substance abuse avoidance policy.
