HS Trucking LLC is currently seeking Heavy Duty Diesel Truck and Trailer Fleet Mechanic. Job Description: We are seeking a diesel mechanic to repair and maintain trucks and trailers according to dealership and factory specifications. Individual must have basic electrical troubleshooting skills and strong computerized system diagnostic capabilities. Thoroughly inspect all issues on company equipment, perform truck and trailer safety and general maintenance related repairs. We offer a training Program on Volvo, Cummins, and International trucks and engines and 6-month review of career path progression with competitive pay. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Complete full preventative maintenance inspections on tractor and trailer equipment in compliance with specified safety procedures and DOT regulations. Perform service and maintenance on company fleet tractors and trailers. Diagnose mechanical problems using technical manuals, diagnostic equipment. Perform state and federal inspections on both truck and trailers. Maintain a safe and clean shop environment while working with a team of techs on daily operations. Works unsupervised on most tasks Maintain work area appearance and safety Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery Adjust and replace brakes, wheel seals, tires, and shocks. Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions, and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components. Maintain a unit history file for each vehicle Qualifications and Skills: A minimum of three (1) years’ experience in a fleet maintenance mechanic role Experience with both diesel /propane vehicles and air brake systems Diagnostic software experience Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties under minimal supervision Accurately record all maintenance activity on Company documentation Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision Ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Valid Driver's license & clean driving record - CDL preferred. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
