Honey is a 2 year old oberhasli Doe that was bottle fed and knows her name. She comes when called and is in training as a pack goat as she follows you around like a dog. A benefit from buying her at 2 years of age is that she should be large enough and strong enough to pack starting this year. She comes running if she seeks her collar and easily leads on the lead and can be tied. She would make an excellent 4H goat or family goat. She is a beautiful golden color, even though both of her parents were classic oberhasli coloring. She could be bred this fall for an excellent family milk goat. Currently she is a pet and great brush eater and can eat down blackberries very quickly. She is up to date on CD&T/Covexin 8 vaccine, regularly dewormed, and has been tested negative for CAE/ CL and Johnes. It is very hard for me to sell her as she is my favourite goat. I am moving to a community where my herd is going to be rolled into a petting zoo/cooperative dairy. Honey is protective of the herd and does not do well with strangers and would not do well in the petting zoo environment of my next location. After a day or two with her she will bond with you and accept you into the herd and protect you from strangers too. Once you are accepted she is a very intelligent and caring goat. She must be sold to someone that will care for her well and who has another goat. If you are just getting into goats I can sell her with with her friend, a whether oberhasli as well because you will need more than one goat.
