Description
They must be soaked in warm water at least once every 3 days if not preferably once a day. They absorb water they desperately need through soaking. Especially as babies.
And that's what they are right now.
These tortoises take 8 years to be full grown. However, when they do they are going to be 90 to 165 pounds. Think about that.
You'll need to eventually have them outside in a built enclosure that keeps them warm and safe from predators.
They live to be 50 PLUS years. You've gotta be committed to these little, big guys.
They require grass, hey, and weeds that you'll probably want to grow and have to chop up for them when they are little. Also fresh greens.
And certain flowers.
I will not re home to just anyone. I've spent well over $300 on them.
