The porter will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building including the sanitary maintenance of common areas. Clean and maintain facility including garbage areas, compactor room, exterior areas, common areas and as needed tasks. Customer service, presentation and work ethic are vital assets for this position.
Job duties include but not limited to:
Reports to Superintendent
Assist Superintendent When Required
Must be able to lift 100Lb compactor
Assist in trash removal
Assist with snow removal
Abilities and skills
Follow directions
Observe and report and address deficiencies
Work in a team environment
Ability to multitask
Cleaning apartments & appliances to get them ready for inspection
Light tile work -- removing and installing
Light paint/plaster work
Monday to Friday and alternating on call emergency schedule
8 am to 430 Pm
Must have good communication skills.
Must be reliable and on time every day.
Please note that must have own transportation as we have multiple locations in East Orange.
