Seeking in-home assistant / caregiver for 86 y/o lady who needs assistance with transferring. Position is part-time, hours are variable. Lots of opportunity for additional hours while family out of town. Currently have excellent caregiver who works several days a week. Seeking someone willing to coordinate a mutually flexible schedule with current caregiver. Willing to provide on the job training to prospective candidate as the job is non-medical. Duties include assistance with helping individual transfer from lift chair - wheelchair - toilet - bed. Additional duties include some companionship, assistance with preparing meals, very light housework. Plenty of opportunity for assistant to have time for self as the lady does not require continuous contact observation. Very comfortable and pleasant working environment. The lady is a Christian woman who enjoys watching TV, maintaining friendships with phone conversations, word search puzzles, gospel music, and keeping up with world events in the news. Candidate must have reliable transportation and ability to communicate with phone and text. A candidate willing to provide lady with occasional transportation requests to office visits or store / restaurant preferred. We can provide vehicle to meet these needs.
