Maintenance Manager Compensation: Hourly @ $11hr + Overtime. 5 days paid leave 1st year. Company Vehicle provided. Hours: Spring/Summer Full-time Fall/Winter part-time (flexible). A Day Away is looking to hire a highly organized and independent manager to oversee all facilities and equipment. This position is the backbone of operations, ensuring that all vehicles, trailers, facilities and kayaks are stocked and in a safe and proper working order before each tour. Routine maintenance/cleaning and repair projects are an essential part of daily activities. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will act as a liaison between contractors and service technicians for outsourced projects. Small team management and project management is a must as the Maintenance Manager will be allocated additional team members for specific projects. Responsibilities for Maintenance Manager Allocate workload and administrate upkeep of all equipment. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. Monitor and execute weekly repairs to kayaks. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities. Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Ensure that designated buildings, vehicles and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions to tour execution. Ensure vehicles and facilities are up to company health and safety policies. Update and maintain a detailed inventory list of all facilities and vehicles. Qualifications 1-2 years' experience in any field of maintenance/repair. Prior mechanical or repair industry experience is a bonus. Prior electrical, welding or craftsmanship experience is a bonus. Prior history in automotive repair is a bonus. Strong knowledge of mechanical and repair concepts. Ability to keep track of and report on hours and daily activity. Experience in planning maintenance operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent leadership and management skills. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making. Maintenance Manager Physical Working Conditions Majority of the workload will be located outside in the elements. Exposure to rain, cold and high summer heat will be regular. Mosquitoes. Maintenance manager will be required to regularly lift 60Lbs overhead independently.
