****This position will start as a short term opportunity or GIG!--Its up to you to make it a long term career job! *********PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST***************** *****NO EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY JUST YOUR DRIVE--ATTITUDE AND DESIRE IS NEEDED!!***** ***Please submit a cover letter detailing why you feel you would be an excellent candidate as well as a resume and a photo if you so choose to**** Please e-mail to [email protected] Operational Managers & Future Leaders Event Planning & Staffing Operations Trainees Culinary Operations Executive—Manager---Trainee—Apprentice As an Event Executive/Manager---Trainee/Apprentice you will learn the following: • How to consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events, such as meetings, conferences, and conventions. • Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment. • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security. • Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs. • Confer with staff at a chosen event site to coordinate details • Inspect event facilities to ensure that they conform to customer requirements. • Maintain records of event aspects, including financial details. • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise. • Negotiate contracts with such service providers and suppliers as hotels, convention centers, and speakers. • Evaluate and select providers of services according to customer requirements. • Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to customer requirements. • Hire, train, and supervise volunteers and support staff required for events. • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved. • Direct administrative details, such as financial operations, dissemination of promotional materials, and responses to inquiries. • Meet with sponsors and organizing committees to plan scope and format of events, to establish and monitor budgets, or to review administrative procedures and event progress. • Read trade publications, attend seminars, and consult with other meeting professionals to keep abreast of meeting management standards and trends. • Organize registration of event participants. • Develop event topics and choose featured speakers. • Promote conference, convention, and trades show services by performing tasks such as meeting with professional and trade associations and producing brochures and other publications. • Design and implement efforts to publicize events and promote sponsorships. • Obtain permits from fire and health departments to erect displays and exhibits and serve food at events. • You will learn how to work with software to help you plan and staff events first and foremost as well as developing a team of event planners to help you carry out your event mission. You will have the ability to work directly with The President of the company who is a Master Executive Level Planner who will teach you the art of event planning and will work with you to set up your vendor networks as well as teaching you how to manage a website for events and all of the virtual office protocols and procedures that will aid you in your success as an Executive Level Event Planner and Manager. MB Enterprises has a detail specific managerial operations training handbook that will be your guide and reference and you will be mentored as well as tested and evaluated daily and weekly in your goal of becoming a very high level planner—manager—executive. There are stages in the process. Are you up for the challenge? No experience is necessary just your passion and desire for planning events and your love of the food and beverage industry. The salary for this position will be tiered and will start after (4) months of mandatory training at $30,000 per year plus bonuses which could easily be over $50,000 your first year with the company. The first (6) months while you are training will be preset hours @ $17 per hour and (10) to (15) hours per week for the first (60) days and will be predicated on what you are asked to achieve and the goals that we set together in order for you to first and foremost learn the position so a great deal of study will be involved and can all be done virtually in the beginning as well as work occasionally in the field and at the office in either Washington DC—New York City or Boston, Ma. The next (60) days will be both remote work virtually and some work in the field and that will be (20) hours per week. The next phase will be the opportunity to be in a paid salary and bonus position understanding that all beforehand mentioned requirements and contractual obligations are met.
