Description
For work related reasons I need to move and cannot take my dog with me. She needs a good home as soon as possible. Call me to set up a time to come see her.
She's a roughly 7 year old Groenendael (Black Belgian sheep dog) mix that may have some collie in her. In fact, when I got her from the Humane Society I thought she was a collie and since kāle (काली, pronounced as collie) is the Hindi word for black, and she's definitely black, that's what I named her. She's an awesome dog that's great with children and very loving. Can be a little skittish and spastic, but that's just her playful nature. She's not wild, doesn't chew anything, and (which I think is awesome) you can leave food sit out around her and she won't eat it (except for her own, of course). Maybe she'll smell it from like 10 feet away but she's never eaten anything I've left out even when I was out of the room for long periods of time. Before I got her she was trained to sit, heal, lay down, and even shake. I trained her to go wherever you point. Point and say go. She goes. Very useful for getting her out of or into a room. I rarely made her do any of those things, but every time I did, she followed command. She's house broken and loves the outdoors. The only even remotely annoying thing about her is that it might take her a few minutes to go potty outdoors. If you say "c'mon, go potty" she'll go. If you have a fenced in yard then no worries, she can go when she wants. Her temperament can be a little spastic, but it's only playful and not too often, otherwise she's very docile and loves to sleep when there's nothing else going on.
I hate that I have to get rid of her, but for work related reasons I have to move. COVID has made the job market a little rough so you take what you can get these days. I just want her to go to a good home that will treat her well. The sooner she finds that home the better.
