A journey into the Latin American drum culture and its fusion with African rhythms. A journey into the Latin American drum culture and its fusion with African rhythms. We are going to present multiple rhythms with afro-Venezuelan native drums and combine them with the contemporary genres from all over Latin America. 2 hours of workshop hosted by 3 professional Latin drummers and Funkadelic studios. Sunday March the 21st. $5 cover Who are we? E.T.A.P.A (Escuela de Tambor Afrovenezolano y Percusión Afrolatina) Translated: School of Afro-Venezuelan drums and Afro-Latin Percussion Marcos Espinoza (@marcosafrocodigos) Willie Quintana (@el_willie_quintana) Roberto Verde (@robertoverdeg) We are going to introduce you to some rhythms which are: A- Sangueo ( Carabobo ) B_ Borburata C_ San Millan D_ Golpe de tambor de San Millan And combine them with rhythms from Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Peru, among others. In this workshop you will play along with us, doing some exercises and you will also have the opportunity to show us a rhythm from your country and we can fusion it.
