Chef Amir Hajimaleki Celebrates Persian New Year with Roya Pop-Up Dinners & Takeout
In honor of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, chef Amir Hajimaleki is celebrating with two Roya popups at District Kitchen + Cocktails Shoal Creek location.
For two nights (March 22 and March 23), the Shoal Creek location of District Kitchen + Cocktails will be transformed into the Hajimaleki brothers’ forthcoming concept, Roya. The five-course dinner will include traditional Persian dishes and ingredients presented in a modern format, such as a Royal Egg with Beluga Caviar, Ash Reshteh made with braised lamb, caramelized onions and kashk and more. Pastry chef Dennis Van will serve a cardamom and nāranj panna cotta with pomegranate liquid gel and pistachios. Tickets will be $90 (includes sales tax & tip). A limited wine and cocktail menu will be available for purchase at the event.
In addition to the seated dinners, chef Hajimaleki will offer a limited takeout option on both nights. The family-style menu will be slightly altered from the dine-in event to accommodate a high-end takeout experience. This option will feed four people for $160 (include sale tax and tip). Menu includes items such as Sabzi Polo, Pan Fried Red Snapper and more, including dessert. Orders need to be placed by Friday, March 19th and pick-ups will be available between 5 – 6 p.m. on the reserved day.
