We are an established Landscape Management company based out of Novato, CA, and we are looking to expand our team with experienced Landscaping personnel. We have an open position for a Landscape Foreman. This position is an integral part of our team and will require candidates who enjoy working outdoors year round in all weather conditions. The candidate must also be organized, hard working, dependable and team oriented, with a willingness to adapt and have a positive attitude. If interested, please send an email describing yourself, including your relevant experience and a resume. Job Description: The Landscape Foreman reports to the Field Manager. The Landscape Foreman is responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects with great precision, safety protocols and business minded efficiency. Essential Functions: Activities on the jobsite include, but are not limited to: - Coordinates workflow, hands on work, and operates a variety of machinery. - Supervises and manages landscape crew during the performance of all assigned work with the guidance of the Field Manager. - Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards. - Manages personnel effectively and efficiently. - Communicates production goals with Field Manager and Crew Members. - Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: - Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed. - Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction. - Leads by example. - Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day. - Follows directions from supervisor/Field Manager. - Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to. - Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor, and clientele. - Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility. - Monitors all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance. - Track and record materials used, job expenses and hours worked on the jobsite accurately. - Maintain a clean and safe jobsite. Requirements: - 5+ years experience in the residential and commercial landscaping industry. - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. - Knowledge of CA native plants and landscaping processes and procedures, including proper planting, pruning, maintenance methods and use of landscaping tools and material. - Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications (such as carpentry, masonry, flagstone, pavers, rock garden wall, stairs, fence, driveway, etc). - Operate landscaping equipment, hand or power tools or other related equipment. - Drive company vehicles, including towing landscaping trailers. - Sustain physical effort with considerable standing, walking, crouching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling or kneeling; reaching or lifting with arms and hands; talking and hearing. - Individuals shall be capable of lifting and/or moving a minimum of 50 pounds. - Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. - Highly motivated, self-driven, hardworking, responsible, dependable and detail oriented. - Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun and fast paced environment. - Ability to prioritize and multi-task with exceptional time management skills. - Excellent communication skills with a variety of people - clients, contractors, designers, co-workers, upper management, etc) - bilingual preferred (English, Spanish or French) - Possess a valid "Class C" CA Driver's License with a clean driving record (verified by DMV). Must have transportation to and from Novato, CA.
