Everyone is entitled to their thoughts, it doesn't mean you're right which you're not. Your's are rationalizations to convince yourself Democrats are trying to cooperate with Republicans but they're not. Trump's administration along with the Republicans in the House and Senate held bipartisan meetings with Pelosi and Schumer which Pelosi hardly budged an inch from with her $2.3 Trillion pandemic relief plan. After the election she agreed to a far less plan of about $1 Trillion announcing once Biden is inaugurated she would submit another which she has. Now we have two plans in the matter of months that total about $3 Trillion. The difference from this last one past yesterday and all the others is it's not bipartisan. No input was allowed by Republicans in fact they weren't allowed to sit and discuss what was to be in it. Any negotiations were within the Democratic Party. Trump era pandemic relief plans were bipartisan getting Democrat support, because they were cut out of this one all Republicans voted against it. The best case scenario is less than 20% of the money to be spent actually goes to needy Americans suffering economically. If you asked someone to take out a loan but they'd only get less than 20% of it they'd refuse, in this case we weren't asked we were told. Once again Democrats have shown they are all about themselves, their power and control and very little about ordinary citizens. Let me be clear, for every dollar that will be borrowed and spent less than 20 cents will go directly to us the public who has to be responsible for the loans repayment the rest will go to whatever the Democratic Party in Congress wants to spend it on. That's a bad deal for us, it would be a bad deal if Republicans did the same thing but as we know their pandemic relief plans never did. ---------------------------------------------- The Trump administration had plenty of time to pass a second stimulus package before Trump left office. They chose not to. So republicans have no right to complain about the package. It would have been great if this package received non partisan support. Biden tried repeatedly to include the republicans. The republicans chose to resist Biden by not participating. You can lead republicans to water, but you cannot force republicans to drink. Biden truly believes that this stimulus is crucial to Americans right now. Regardless if you agree or not, you must commend the man on doing what he thinks is best for citizens. 71% of americans support the stimulus package. Getting 71% of Americans to agree on anything is a monumental task. If 71% are in favor of the bill, the bill should have been passed with 71% support by our elected officials. Republican politicians are clearly not listening to their own base. Passing a bill of this nature, perfect or not, is far better than no action being taken at all. There is no leader that will please 100% of the people. In my opinion, Biden is doing a great job of representing the majority of americans regardless of party affiliation.
