Fire Hydrant Crash Causes Depression in West Estrella Street

TAMPA, FL — The westbound lanes of West Estrella Street may be closed for a couple of days for repairs to fix a depression in the road. On March 6, a 2011 Jeep Cherokee and a 2017 Maserati were involved in a crash at Henderson Avenue and West Estrella Street. The Jeep struck a fire hydrant on the southwest corner of the intersection. A large amount of water from the hydrant cause a depression in the road. Tampa Police ask that drivers avoid this area.
