Funky, "low volume" upbeat covers

Description

Looking to form a band that plays some funky, upbeat covers. Been in bands for over 10 years playing rhythm guitar. Got into bass in the past 2-3 years, and want to start a funky project with some like minded players. Not looking to go pro, have a 9-5 that supports my family. Looking for a drummer, lead/rhythm guitarist, and keys possibly, to work out covers with an upbeat feel. Have a PA with very small footprint, would like to keep this as small a foot print as possible, as bars get back up to speed post pandemic. Goal is to be "low volume", playing music the crowd likes, and wowing them with our high energy rework of classics. If a small set up, with minimal pedals/rig, and a bikini drum kit makes you think "challenge accepted", and you won't obsess of playing the music note for note, as the original record, let's make some fun music. Think along the lines of Scary Pockets, and NPR tiny desk concert feel, with our own spin on things.
