LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)– Colorado Parks and Wildlife rescued a great horned owl. The bird had an apparent head injury.
Officers with CPW's Northeast Region shared the pictures after the bird was taken into safety at Saint Vrain State Park in Longmont. She was already malnourished and underweight.
Her left eye was dilated in sunlight so her vision could have made it hard for her to hunt and avoid other predators.
