NEW LENOX, IL — High school sports have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Now that restrictions have loosened across the state, various sports have started to practice and compete again. Here is a round-up of Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West scores: Scores are submitted by coaches and sent to Patch. Badminton Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Badminton won against Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, 11-4 Girls Varsity Badminton won 7 out of 10 singles matches and 4 out of 5 doubles matches. Basketball Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Basketball falls to Andrew HS, 54-40 Reagan King scored 12 points, and Connor Jenkins scored 11 points. Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Basketball defeated Andrew HS, 74-39 Ava Gugliuzza led the warriors with 21 points, and Tara Gugliuzza chipped in 17 points. Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Basketball lost to Kankakee High School, 61-37 Quentin Villa scored 12 points. Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Basketball beat Bolingbrook High School, 74-66 Ava and Tara Gugliuzza each scored 20 points. Allie Wondrasek scored 14 points. Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Basketball beat Lincoln-Way Central High School, 53-41 Tara Gugliuzza led the warriors with 21 points and Ava Gugliuzza chipped in 16 points. Lincoln-Way Central girls basketball lost against Lincoln-Way West in a conference contest, 41-53 Haley Stoklosa scored 16 points, and Colleen Erdman scored 11 points. Lincoln-Way Central boys basketball won against Lincoln-Way West in a conference contest, 57-48 57 Lincoln-Way Central girls basketball won against Providence in a non-conference contest, 54-35 Mia Zenere scored 14 points and Azyah Newson-Cole scored 13 points Lincoln-Way Central girls basketball won against Lincoln-Way East in a non-conference contest, 36-29 Haley Stoklosa scored 12 points and Azyah Newson-Cole scored 10 points. Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Basketball beat Stagg HS, 70-56 Ava Gugluizza led with 23 points, and Tara Gugliuzza chipped in 18. Evan Pittman and Aubree Schultz each scored 10. Swimming Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Swimming defeated Kankakee High School, 109-60 Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Swimming falls to Lockport Township High School, 107-77 Lincoln-Way Central boys swimming won against Bradley-Bourbonnais High School in a conference contest, 94-92 Lincoln-Way Central boys swimming won against Andrew in a conference contest, 102-84 Joe Bozzi broke the school record in the 100 butterfly.
