Over the past several months, residents on Norumbega Drive repeatedly found bags of chicken, which some believe to be poisonous. At this time, the Monrovia Police Department will continue to look into these reports. Those who have seen any suspicious activities related to bags of food left on properties are encouraged to contact Sgt. Donchig at (626) 256-8020 or Officer Vanderburg at (626) 256-8036. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, some residents have reported that it has been difficult to get their pets to a veterinarian when there is an emergency. The City will be looking into ways for residents to have quicker access to veterinarians in the area. The Pasadena Humane Society hosts various webinars, ranging from Keeping Adult and Senior Cats Active to Coyote Safety. On Wednesday, April 14, at 12:00 p.m., Pasadena Humane Society will speak on the topic of Animal First Aid, where a vet will be present to address poisoning.
