LEMONT, IL — The following information is from the Lemont Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt. Feb. 16 Jeffrey Velarde, 27, of Lemont, was charged with domestic battery at 8:39 a.m. following an incident in the 200 block of Illinois Street. Velarde was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing. Feb. 17 Michael Jacksa, 42, of Crest Hill, was charged with criminal sexual abuse. Jacksa was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.Tonya Veenstra, 46, of Wilmington, was charged with two counts of retail theft at 2:50 p.m. following an incident in the 1100 block of State Street. Veenstra was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.Feb. 24 Albert Arrivi, 38, of Lemont, was charged reckless driving and failure to yield right of way to highway construction crew at 3:57 p.m. following an incident at Main Street and Walker Road. Arrivi was issued a March 31 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.Feb. 26 Amani Elmosa, 27, of Palos Park, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked and speeding 15-20 mph over the limit at 7:24 p.m. following a traffic stop at 127th Street and Marian Drive. Elmosa was issued a May 10 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
