Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst is the only tri-service military base in the United States. Located on 42,000 Acres in Burlington and Ocean County, NJ, the base supports Active Air Force Refueling and Military Air Lift Missions, Army Reserve and National Guard Training, Navy R&D and Training missions. The position is with the Project Management Element of the 787th Civil Engineer Squadron. We are a largely civilian organization, responsible for designing and executing all capital improvement/construction projects in support of the Joint Base missions. Projects range from road, airfield and infrastructure repairs to building renovation and construction, in all engineering disciplines. We are currently hiring a GS-09 CADD/Drafting technician to support our Design Sections (Federal OPM GS Pay Scale/New York Area). This is a full time civilian position with the United States Air Force. Minimum education requirements are a High School/Trade School diploma, with some industry/practical experience in preparing plans and construction documents in AutoCADD, familiarity with GIS systems, Microsoft Office Applications and interpretation of electronic survey data.
