Bucket truck hydraulic lift - Genset Generator repair

Hi, I have a 1991 GMC Sierra C3500 bucket truck with a Vera lift with a cummings onan genset 4.5 generator. It was working fine, then sat for about a year. Thursday we raised the bucket and it is now stuck (w/o Dave in the bucket). We can't figure out how to get the thing down and are also stuck! Would appreciate if anyone who knows about bucket trucks could help us figure this out & fix her. Thank you David
