Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for low to moderate-income families who live in inner-city neighborhoods of Detroit. UDC serves an area of Detroit that was not originally included as part of the hardest hit funding. Notwithstanding we remain steadfast in our commitment to bring stabilization, revitalization, and sustainability to the area. During covid-19, UDC has embarked upon the renovation of two adjacent vacant lots that were filled with debris inclusive of used tires, dead fallen trees, and overgrown vegetation. Through the help of many volunteers, UDC is proud to proclaim that we can now see two pine trees that were once in the midst of a forest. Upon the completion of the renovations of the vacant, it will be used a community gather space. At this time we are seeking a landscape company willing to volunteer to lend a helping hand to a Detroit community in need by grading the soil of the vacant lot to ground level.
