Pathlights (Formerly Plows Council on Aging) Chosen As Gwendolyn J. Sterk and the Family Law Group, P.C. Non-Profit Hero of the Month Pathlights is a non-profit organization, whose sole mission is to help navigate and celebrate aging in 20 communities, throughout the Southwest Suburbs of Cook County. For their commitment to the aging, Pathlights has been named March 2021 Non-Profit Hero of the Month by Gwendolyn J. Sterk and the Family Law Group, P.C.  Aging is a shared journey – one that does not have to be made alone and is experienced by all of us every day, not just by older adults. Pathlights, formerly known as PLOWS Council on Aging, helps guide the community along the best path to aging – providing resources, advocacy, programs, and services needed to live with independence and dignity. Pathlights helps more than 16,000 people each year understand their options – the multiple paths to aging. Their team is highly specialized and works together united in their mission.  Pathlights prides themselves  on collaboration with diverse partners and as a convener of conversation and action to promote policies that encourage a healthy aging community.  The volunteers at Pathlights listen and empower clients to take steps that can enhance their lives. Pathlights Mission: To empower individuals navigating the aging life cycle with a focus on those 60 years of age and older.
