SAN JOSE, CA — South Bay firefighters rescued one person after a two-alarm blaze at a structure in downtown San Jose early Friday morning.
The fire at the 300 block of West St. John Street, closed downtown streets between Almaden Boulevard and North Autumn Street.
The San Jose Fire Department initially reported that one person had been taken to the hospital, but later said the person had declined transport. There were no injuries from the incident, officials said.
The fire was declared under control at 7:45 a.m.
