BAY SHORE, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Islip Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions. One of their available pets is Toby, a 1-year-old male husky. Here's a full description of Toby from the Islip Animal Shelter Facebook page: Meet Toby. This 1.5 year old male neutered husky is in need of your help. He has been coming into us as a frequent flier since he was just 9 months old. His owner did the right thing and signed him into us. This poor boy has had little to no proper training. Due to this he does not like to share his food with anyone and knows very few commands. He does know sit and overall walks nicely on a leash. He also has not been properly socialized with other dogs. On top of that he has problems with both of his hips and his knees. He needs a very special person or rescue to step up and to help him. If you are interested and you email us we will be happy to discuss what is actually going on with him. He is a sweet boy and really just wants someone to love him the way he deserves. To find out more information on Toby, check out his profile here. The Islip Animal Shelter is located on 210 S Denver Avenue in Bay Shore. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To learn more about the Islip Animal Shelter, visit their Facebook page here.
