NORTHPORT, AL — The first 5th Street Vintage Market of the year kicked off Sunday morning, bringing numerous vendors an a wide-range of wares to the Northport Farmers Market. Vintage items ranged from classic Crimson Tide memorabilia, antique bottles, folk art and more. Markets are held the first Sunday of each month, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Here's an upcoming schedule for the Vintage Market, which won't see an April installment because of the Easter holiday: May 2, Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 5. Those with questions can email [email protected] or click here to apply to become a vendor. Here are some of my favorite items around the market Sunday morning. Classic comic book fans had plenty to sift through Sunday morning. While vintage items dominated the day, there were also plenty of handmade artisan offerings, such as woodworking. A speed bag signed by UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, along with some other vintage sports memorabilia. Have a news tip or suggestion on how I can improve Tuscaloosa Patch?
