Job Title: Runner Department: A TA & Garage Reports to: Lot Supervisor Summary: Our goal is to provide a superior product over our competition by providing well condition vehicles while maintaining a high level of volume and quality. General Description: Your main duty as a Budget Runner is to move company vehicles in and out the garage and keep check in area from overflowing. As a Runner you will not only be required to move cars. Other duties may include orders from supervisor’s discretion, picking up trash or debris on the lot and helping with car counts/ inventory. This includes clearing out the check in/ vehicle return area, organizing car rows and general maintenance and cleanliness of the lot. If you have any physical limitations that may prevent you from completing your duties, please disclose them to the supervisor or manager. You will be working outdoors all seasons of the year. Uniforms will be issued to you at the time of employment. You will be expected to come dressed appropriately in your uniform. The employee will be responsible for lost or damaged uniforms. Lockers are available in the break room if you would like to bring in a lock to secure your personal items. These are a general description of your job duties but are not limited to what is listed above. Runner Procedures: 1. Moving cars from check in to the right place • Dirties-to the dirty line to be washed • One Ways-under the bridge • O/S (Out of Service) –park at correct place: PM, Windshield, other mechanical problems, recalls and sold vehicles. 2. Answer the radio when the Rover agent needs help. 3. Park clean cars inside of the garage in the right place. 4. Move cars from the dirty overflow to the left side to be washed first for CSA agents when we need a certain car class to fill the garage. 5. Check the clean car thoroughly to make sure the vehicle is clean and filled with fuel before taking into the garage. 6. Customer Service-if a customer asks for help please be helpful, courteous and professional. Expectations: You are to show up in the appropriate uniform that will be supplied at the time of employment. It is expected that you will show up to work on time for your scheduled shift and stay until your shift is completed. If there are no vehicles to park you are expected to continue, but not limited to, the duties listed above. The vehicles put in the clean area are expected to be cleaned inside and out. If dirty vehicles are found to have made it to the clean line with unacceptable standards, the vehicle must be returned to the dirty line. You are to take your scheduled lunch breaks and return from them on time. While driving a company vehicle on the property, there is a 5 mph speed limit. Please be cautious while navigating through the lot, as there are people walking around it 24 hours per day. If you have interaction with customers, please be kind, courteous and as helpful as possible. If you do not have the ability to help them, please refer them to a Supervisor, Manager or the Fast Break booth for further assistance.
