What's up PDX musicians, My name is Patrick and I got a soundproofed basement studio in SE PDX and I'm looking to collaborate with musicians who share my musical interests, mainly Hip-hop, Neo-Soul, and jazz-influenced contemporary music like Robert Glasper, D'Angelo and the Soulquarians, J Dilla, Tom Misch, Kiefer, Nick Hakim, El Michels Affair, Knxwledge, Khruangbin, Madlib, and Yussef Kamaal. Ideally, you are at least semi-competent at your instrument so we can improvise quickly together. In other words, you have good pitch recognition, understand diatonic harmony, you know your 7th chords, alt chords, your scales, and most importantly, you got rhythm! I'm down to host a jam if we're a good fit and I got plenty of equipment at my studio: a Gretsch Catalina drum kit, Yamaha piano, Korg SV1, bass guitars, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, synths, shakers, mixers, amps, and plenty of mics.
