The Oceanside Airport Association (OAA) is a non-profit 501c-3 organization that was formed to save our local airport from closure. Currently our association needs enthusiastic volunteers to help support our small airfield. All community service is focused on ensuring that the airport is operated and developed to it's full potential as an asset that can be enjoyed by both the flying and non-flying public. Our efforts include administering an annual flight scholarship (given to local teens), holding BBQs, hosting classic car and airshows, organizing social group "fly-outs" to other airports for lunch or breakfast, improvement and repair of aging facilities, hosting youth summer aviation workshops, conducting evening/summer "ground-schools", promoting aviation careers & education and much more. Currently WE NEED VOLUNTEERS who first and foremost LOVE aviation and want to share that passion with others. Here are just few area where your support is needed: Video Editor - Work with pilots and other volunteers to capture inflight video and produce short instructional videos aimed at informing visiting pilots of our noise abatement program. Bike Mechanic - Keep our fleet of "Free Use Airport Bikes" roadworthy by fixing flats and adjusting brakes. Newsletter Editor - Collect inputs from members and publish our association newsletter.
