Project Service Inc (PSI) is currently seeking applicants for full and part time housekeeping positions in the Iron Mountain area. Pay rate is $15.00/hour. Full time benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401K and paid holidays/vacation. Part time benefits include 401K. Must pass background check and drug test. Sign on bonus available. Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, offices and conference rooms. Responsible for restocking of all bathroom supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet tissue). Use of floor care machines may be necessary. Experience as a housekeeping aide / janitor / custodian / cleaner in a medical facility setting is preferred, but we will train the appropriate candidate. Training will be provided. Essential Functions: v Clean assigned facilities for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment v Safely operate floor and related electrical equipment v Safely operate common cleaning equipment and products associated with OSHA standards v Arrange furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for meetings, activities and special events v Responds to immediate safety concerns v Secures facility and grounds for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss, and potential liability to the organization v Attend training for all aspects of the job including equipment use, cleaning solvents, blood borne pathogens, medical waste packaging DOT training required, new and improved procedures Knowledge/Skills/Behaviors: v Must have good communication skills v Must be flexible in work schedules v Must be safety conscious v Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision Education/Experience: v High school diploma or GED equivalent v Knowledge of cleaning chemicals is a plus v 2 years experience in janitorial, custodial or housekeeping field is preferred Physical Requirements: v Ability to run all types of vacuums v Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hours v Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs General Requirements: v Must have strong communication and organizational skills and demonstrates such v Must be able to understand and follow written and oral procedures v Must pass drug test and criminal background check v Abide by Project Service Inc.
