We are looking for a skilled and experienced laborers/carpenters with a min of 5 years of experience. We have 5 positions open on our Morganton. NC 28655. We pay our employees a competitive hourly rate and pay on the 1st and 15th of the month. After 6 months you are eligible for medical, vision, and dental at a 50% contribution by GMS and after one year, you will accrue one-week vacation pay. You must have reliable transportation. Hours of work is 7AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday.
Tasks include:
1. Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed.
2. Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to required size, using handsaw, power saw, or woodworking machine.
3. Mark cutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber.
4. Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers.
5. Erect forms, framework, scaffolds, hoists, roof supports, or chutes, using hand tools, plumb rule, and level.
6. Assemble and fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure, using bolts, nails, or screws.
Qualifications Required:
1. Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
3. Previous experience working on construction sites
4. Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols
5. Ability to pass a drug/background check
