We currently have a full-time position available for a Field Operations Manager (FOM). The FOM is a key member of the leadership team and plays a critical role in ensuring safety and driving quality & productivity in field operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety: Train and enforce procedures and policies Quality: Ensure work is performed to the level of quality required to satisfy clients Create Capability: Create capability within the crews through training, instruction, education, correction and follow-up Productivity: Ensure all crews are working productively and consistent with the company's Production System. Ensure every crew has a good plan and is working that plan. This includes proper scope/spec, sequence of tasks, correct number of laborers, personnel qualifications, training and certification for the job, proper equipment, and man hour targets Equipment: Support mechanics programs for preventative maintenance, repair procedures, safety and function inspections, and inventory systems Act as liaison between field ops and the administrative, customer service, and general management functions QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver's License Preferred 3-5 years of landscape experience, including 3 years as crew leader or foreman, additional management or training a plus Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and other software skills or a willingness to develop Massachusetts Pesticide License preferred Strong knowledge of local turf types, shrubs, groundcovers, seasonal color materials, growth characteristics, appropriate maintenance techniques, and common issues A demonstrated interest and ability in developing staff and crew Communicate effectively, written and verbal, in English.
