We currently have a Pruning Foreman position available in Georgetown, MA. POSITION SUMMARY The Pruning Foreman is a trained professional who follows standard accepted practices to maintain trees, shrubs, perennials, annual plants and vines to remain healthy and aesthetically appropriate for their location, while following the intent of the property's landscape design. This person is highly detailed and able to work independently and within a team. They consistently evaluate their work, and that of their crew, to determine if further steps are needed to meet internal and external client expectations. They interact with management and office personnel to help achieve corporate objectives. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for timely, courteous, and efficient response to clients' and managements' needs. Manage a crew to achieve a high quality product, while working safely. Must maintain complete, accurate and timely records for the company and comply with all governmental regulations. Responsible for the proper utilization and care of company equipment. Follow company policies, procedures and work standards. Perform additional duties as required, including on-call, variable work throughout each winter SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This person must be able to manage a crew. This person must be able to efficiently and effectively communicate with vendors, employees, and clients. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 3-5 years of field experience within a landscape maintenance environment Possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license Massachusetts pesticide license a plus Supervisory experience of field personnel preferred Must have strong plant identification skills Willingness to weed and dead-head plants Highly detailed and take pride in his/her work Strong verbal communication skills Basic reasoning and time management abilities to coordinate effective completion of tasks Bilingual communication a plus WORK CONDITIONS Must be able to lift and carry 80lbs of material Willing to work in all weather conditions
