We are a busy, high-end custom furniture shop seeking a skilled worker to assist in the shop with production and other various tasks. This is a full-time position. Experience in woodworking and/or metal working is a plus, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate! Key responsibilities include: - understand and interpret drawings, take offs, components and assemblies - perform high-level carpentry with minimal supervision - help produce and package work orders - meet production deadlines to fulfill orders - stay organized with orders and completed paperwork - be courteous and open minded with other employees and customers - support other departments when called on by management - keep work area clean and organized - always maintain safety in all operations - be on time for the set shop hours - help with delivery of product. This may include driving the company van to Cape Cod, NH, VT, CT, ME, RI, etc.. Position requirements - ability to read, speak and communicate clearly - ability to perform physically demanding work on a constant basis, including lifting 100 lbs - high school graduate or equivalent preferred - must be hardworking, team player. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a positive attitude - general knowledge of power tools - starting pay is $18-22 depending on experience and skill.
