This position has duties like emptying trash cans, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc. The Porter will assist also with cleaning pots, pans, baking equipment, etc. The Porter will assist with deliveries including unloading trucks when necessary and putting up supplies. Other duties include: transporting supplies to and from storage areas, bringing baked goods to the catering department, cleaning kitchen equipment, assisting bakers and other bakery staff in a variety of duties. We need someone who is energetic, can be on their feet for very long periods of time, who can move with a sense of urgency, and is a team player. This position normally works about 40 hours per week, but during the holiday season the hours can be MUCH longer. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The best candidates will have open availability to adjust to a changing schedule when needed.
