We are a premier destination flooring retailer located in North Carolina, that is experiencing tremendous growth in sales. We currently hiring for a full-time installation helper. This position will train under one of our lead installers and become familiar with our processes and procedures. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter who is a hard worker and willing to learn. This person will need to be able to manage his own workload and complement our team of 5-Star Installers. This is a critical position within our company, and we need a super star that can work at a fast pace, can be dependable and can hit our high installation expectations. As we continue to build our installation team we typically promote team members based on performance, so there could potentially be future opportunities for the right person. Requirements: Must be able to pass background check Must be able to pass drug tests Must have valid NC state driver’s license Must have own transportation to and from work Must have a high school diploma and speak fluent English. Spanish as a second language is a plus. Experience with any of the following flooring is a plus: Carpet, sheet vinyl, tile, hardwood, laminate, and luxury vinyl plank Must be able to read a tape measure and be able to handle basic math problems Major Responsibilities: Follow product installation guidelines and uses correct tools for achieving accurate installation standards. Professional demeanor and motivated to excel. Builds company image by collaborating with customers, clients, sub-contractors, and other employees. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and learning by working with other installers. Work Experience/Skills: Experience with customer service in retail environment is a plus. Knowledge of residential construction is a bonus. Should have a working knowledge of basic tools Ability to work well with other team members to promote a positive growth environment. Good verbal and written communications skills.
