Help Isaac Evans Park, Salmon and the Orcas by maintaining and restoring the shores of the Green River! Join Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group, Green River Coalition, and the City of Auburn to spread mulch and remove invasive species at Isaac Evans Park, Auburn from 10 am-1 pm. Spreading mulch helps maintain moisture around native plants and reduces the opportunity for invasive plants to regrow. Native trees help shade the river for cooler water for salmon, provide fresh clean air, and beautify our parks! Be a part of your community, give back, and meet new people. Please RSVP directly to Ben at [email protected] Covid-19 Safety Protocol: - We will limiting the event to 5 total volunteers - Before arriving at the event please check your temperature. If it is above 100.4 degrees please stay home. - Please stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms such as cough, soar throat, loss of taste and/or smell - Masks will be worn at all times (we will also have extra single-use masks if needed) - We will maintain physical distance throughout the day. - We will provide a hand washing and sanitation station on site. - We won't be providing snacks or water so please bring enough for you for the entirety of the event. What to Bring: -Gardening gloves/work gloves -Closed-toe shoes are required! (ex: sturdy sneakers, rain boots, hiking boots. No sandals, heels, or flats) -Layers of clothing that can get dirty -Long sleeves and thick leg coverings to protect against thorny plants (shorts or capris are not recommended) -Rain gear -OR- sunblock and a sun hat (be sure to check the weather) -Full water bottle -Snacks
