Job duties: Feed/water animals, mow, fence maintenance, pasture maintenance, tree pruning, gardening, general farm cleanup, assist in farm projects/builds Requirements: Must be drug and drama free. Experience in farming/trade/heavy equipment operation work is a plus, but willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and good attitude Live-in opportunity: Place to park trailer/tiny home with power/water hookups. No septic available, will need black water tank or you have access to the house for bathroom/shower use available. Free rent in exchange for about 4hr (flexible) help around the farm. Located in Turner, Oregon. Work expectations: You take pride in helping to maintain/improve the farm. Some days there may be more work than others and some days there may be no work, you have 80% flexibility on when to get a lot of the work/chores done. About 20% of the work/chores will be on a timeline/scheduled- this will be communicated in advance. You are welcome to have a job outside of the farm work, but availability must be communicated in advance. Reason position is available: My parents are finding they need more help to complete farm chores, and some projects are taking longer than others to complete due to health and capabilities. Ideal candidate: This has worked well in the past for an older retired gentleman that kept the farm in working order and beautifully maintained grounds. This could also work for a driven younger individual that’s fallen on harder times. Could be a beneficial opportunity for someone who is traveling, or between jobs.
