Death by Chocolate is the largest annual fundraiser in support of the STEM education mission of Exploration Place. A Death By Chocolate like no other! We rescheduled the event to May 8th so it could continue to be one of Wichita’s most dynamic and fun in-person events. As always, there will be an opportunity to sample the very best local sweet/savory food and delectable drinks, while being entertained by top musical talent. To keep you safe in 2021, we’ve added some exciting new outdoor components, and opened up more than 15,000 square feet of additional indoor space. And to keep you entertained we decided to go “Back to the 80s” and used the extra time (and space) to fill the entire event with not-to-be-missed themed experiences, including: Princess Bride Castle ChallengeDirty Dancing 80s Dance Party Purple Rain Experience80s themed BarcadeHoney, I Shrunk Everything!Back to the Future HoverboardWeird Science Pavilion...and much, much more! Oh, and don’t be surprised if you encounter 80s characters like Mr. T, Beverly Hills Cop and even the Caddyshack gopher! General Admission includes unlimited food and beverage, and access to all 80s experiences. VIP guests receive 1 hour of early access to the event, VIP parking, a VIP Lounge, access to the Upper Deck VIP area in the Dirty Dancing Dance Club, and specialty cocktails.
