Putting some feelers out to see if there are any like-minded musicians out there. I'm a mature guitarist who dabbles in bass, keyboards, synth with an interest in collaborating with other musicians in the area. The main idea is to pursue world music driven by improv, melody and a beat. Could be instrumental only or support vocals. Covers would be fine as well, so long as they aren't punk or metal. Some inspiration examples include Ariel Pink, The Olympians, Nightmares on Wax, Cymande, The Equatics, Khruangbin... that sort of stuff. Must be open-minded and willing to try new things. Must be willing to suck at first until we find our groove. Must be willing to leave drugs, alcohol and an overactive distortion pedal at the door. Also, a must be willing to wear a mask for the time being. I'm probably asking too much...
