Join our 1st Holyoke BICYCLE TOUR! This tour will take you to those Holyoke sites that are listed on the National Register List.
Dust off your bikes, inflate the tires, and join Bob Comeau on his first bicycle tour of Holyoke historic sites. For this inaugural tour, he will focus on those listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resources.
COVID-19: Social distancing & mask-wearing will be practiced. Bring your own mask.
A helmet must be worn while riding your bicycle. If you wish to join this tour and do not own a bicycle, take advantage of the bicycle stations where you can rent one. They are located around the city.
Tour will begin at the Canal Walk Bridge on Race Street.
No need to print a ticket. Attendance will be taken at the event.
Please consider making a donation (no matter how small) to help the Holyoke Preservation Trust with offering more free cultural and historical events and workshop materials.
