CCTV Service Technician - Experience Required

We are hiring an experienced or very experienced service technician who already has the skill set to install and service security camera installations. This job requires up to a 90-mile radius of travel from our main Fremont office. Most jobs will be within hour, but some can be up to 90 miles. Company Ford Transit Vans will be provided with ladders/tools/material and very few visits to the office will be required. You will be required to run wires and service security systems including troubleshooting. Experience in installing Alarm Systems is a PLUS! More compensation for experience with Alarms. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with small crawl spaces and/or not able to stand 12-16ft high up on a ladder. Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years minimum experience installing and/or servicing CCTV security systems (knowledge on ALARM SYSTEM IS A PLUS but not needed) Prior field service experience require Wiring & Troubleshooting experience needed MUST BE ABLE TO Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height MUST BE ABLE TO Carry weights from 75 pounds A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions, is required (NO DUIs) High School Diploma or equivalent Some Electrical and technical installation knowledge preferred People skills and a positive outlook Professional appearance and effective communication skills MOST IMPORTANTLY A PROBLEM-SOLVING ATTITUDE Must know how to use Hand Tools and Drills No time off will be allowed the first 90 DAYS. Some Responsibilities May Include: Install CCTV Systems for Small Businesses and Commercial Accounts, some residential Run low voltage data and 18/2 power wiring in attics, crawl spaces and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, conduit, and aerial runs. Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy a customer and contractual requirements. Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper function and to ensure system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements. Perform installation and repair work as designated in a profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time. Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assists with contract retention. Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log. Maintain company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handle proprietary information in a prescribed manner; adhere to and support OVISS policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
