Description
Help us add some color and spring cheer by decorating a Tulip for display at Heritage Park! An 18” tall wooden tulip flower will be supplied to all registrants. A green wooden stem approximately three feet high will be added by Village staff. Individuals, families, organizations, and businesses can participate. Limited Quantities Available! There are 100 tulips available to be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit of one per business. Registration/Entry Fee: The non-refundable entry fee of $10.00 includes a pre-made 18” tall x 15” wide wooden tulip flower and stem (which will be added by staff). Registration and payment for this event is through the Homer Glen Junior Woman’s Club Eventbrite listing and must be submitted payment by April 16, 2021. Guidelines and Entry Rules: Guidelines and rules are provided on the purchase confirmation page and a copy will be sent via email. You may also view guidelines and rule prior to purchase here: http://homerglenil.org/2672/Tulips-in-the-Park. Tulip Description: The wooden tulip flower is cut from plywood and painted white. A wooden stake to be used as the stem, painted green, will be attached to the tulip flower at the time of installation. Tulip flower pick-up time and location: Reserved tulips can be picked up at the Village Hall on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tulip drop-off location and times: Tulip flowers are to be dropped off at the Village Hall by 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22. Please bring your decorated tulip to the Village Hall. The tulip will be installed at Heritage Park by Village staff prior to April 24. Please put your name on the back of the tulip flower near the bottom. Prize Award: This is not a judged competition. One Spring Garden gift basket will be awarded to a winner from a drawing of all registrants. Winner’s name will be drawn on May 2. Tulip Removal: Tulips will be removed by Village staff on Monday, May 24, 2021, weather permitting. Registrants will receive an email of when they can be picked up at Village Hall.
